Robert Andrews

UK Editor at ContentNext

I am a journalist and online publisher, writing about technology and digital media since 1995. I provide news reporting, insight and strategic support on the business of online media, technology culture and digital communications.

I'm currently UK Editor for ContentNext, a wholly owned subsidiary of Guardian News & Media, reporting on and analysing the digital media business for paidContent.org, paidContent:UK, mocoNews.net and Guardian.co.uk.

I wrote multimedia stories and developed interactive TV concepts for BBC News, I'm a contributor to Wired News and have written for New Media Investor, NME, PC Plus and Digital Home. I launched one of the UK's first regional news websites and helped found one of the first national entertainment sites.

I have lectured online journalism and am a visiting speaker at universities, and documented the emerging digital news landscape for publications like Journalism.co.uk. I have developed social media marketing and communications strategies and consultancy for public organisations, including a report that influenced UK government engagement policy. I'm fascinated by technology culture.
