Sites’ Fallujah footage watched closely
Kevin Sites may be producing some compelling blog reportage embedded with US marines on the front line in Falluja, but it’s his day job as an NBC reporter that is making headlines this evening.
The BBC’s Ten O’Clock News just aired video shot by Sites that apparently showed a marine shooting, in the head and at close range, an insurgent laying close to death, but still breathing. An inquiry has begun, according to the report.
Another journoblogging coup? No, no, no; more like a good piece of camerawork from a TV reporter risking his life to be in the right place at the right time - who also keeps a weblog.

Update: Sites’ blog facillitator Xeni Jardin chips in.
Update (Nov 16): NBC Nightly News last night plugged Sites’ warblog in what Lost Remote calls a first for a network news division. This is the same weblog CNN told Sites to shut in 2003.
