Thanks - glad you like it. I only just found that the new Movable Type has not been notifying me of comments posted to entries, so yours was amongst the spam to be approved.

I soon found that the design launched over the new year was horribly broken in certain browsers. So I’ve been in a several-week-long mission to write standards-compliant code. Which has been a challenge. What’s here now is on its way to looking and functioning as I want it to. There are gaps and things everywhere.

Until then… what I’ve read about more people visiting site pages by RSS is definitely shaping the way I want this site to go. That is, I want to make it easier for you to explore the rest of the site content from your entry page of an individual entry. Anyway, when I use RSS, it’s almost always with full-page options turned on, so I always see proper HTML pages and never just text excerpts.

On pictures… well, I’m not sure… I felt this looked sort of text-heavy. And recently I’ve taken photos of myself that, uniquely, I’m comfortable with.

I’d probably agree there’s little impact (would I read Dan Gillmor less if he was a monster?) But I do think it gives a certain individual stamp, yes - whether *I* am the stamp I want to give my site, I don’t know! But there’s nothing much I can do about my face.

Of course, without a comment subscription feature (and with the changes on this site), you may never read this reply!
