“Spray-On Mud Makes a Splash” makes a splash
Wired News published Spray-On Mud Makes a Splash (here via Lycos), my story about how a Shropshire company is bottling local mud for urban 4×4 drivers keen to give their vehicle a whiff of the outback - some folk want to use the squirty dirt to break the law.
A couple of days after being published on Friday, the story was picked up by BBC News and London’s Evening Standard. It’s also a front-page story in today’s Guardian (UK) and on GuardianUnlimited, and is in today’s Daily Mail (UK), Independent (UK), Independent (SA), The Scotsman and New Zealand Herald. It’s mentioned a second time on BBC News in in a newspaper review.
The story was also BoingBoinged. The company behind the product has started a page tracking the media coverage.
Edit: Cox news service filed a version, appearing here in Arizona and here in Florida.
People are also talking about it on their blogs. Some Technorati searches show those people:-
