BBC blog platform starts with Newslog 2.0
BBC News has been using “blogs” for some time now. Not that they are really blogs; the Reporter’s Logs and other features are static news pages with copy pasted in.
But the BBC’s developers have been working on a true blog platform for a while now, and that work seems to have been revealed with the launch of Nick Robinson’s new Newslog.
Robinson previously had this Newslog, observing behind-the-scenes of political news broadcasting, as a chief political correspondent, before he left to edit the field for ITV News. It was amongst the Beeb’s debut blog offerings and was my motivation in suggesting the creation of regional variations.
But Nick’s new-look Newslog is now the first to figure on what looks like that all-new blogs platform, which, situated at blogs.bbc.co.uk, hints at more to come.
